Vegetables have been the part of daily menu in our tables, and the babies enjoy them in various forms too. But have you already known that we can actually guess the benefits of vegetable by its color? Now let’s reveal the benefits of green, orange, red and purple vegetables.

Green

Green vegetables are rich in lutein, the substance which plays important role in improving vision. Besides, green vegetables are the great source of potassium, vitamin C and vitamin K. Vitamin C is essential for baby’s overall health. It offers immunity protection, prevents infections as well as protects baby’s cells from being damaged by particular types of toxin.

Orange

Carrot and pumpkin are probably the two most popular as well as most favorite orange vegetables for baby. Apart from the delicious taste, these two vegetables are rich in beta-carotene, a substance needed by baby to promote excellent vision.  Also, such vegetables are recommended if you want to give the best food to promote baby’s healthy skin and strong immune system.

Red

Red vegetables are the source of lycopene, the substance which will help to improve heart health as well as reducing the risk of cancer. Sure, the benefits are not only for now, but in the long run when the baby grows adult since the healthy body cannot be got overnight, right?

Purple

This is probably little bit surprising for some of you. You probably simply assume that purple cauliflower, beets and other similar vegetables as foods with almost the same nutritional content as others.  In fact, these delicious purples are all you need to reduce the risk of cancer and support mental clarity!
