Tips for Balancing Work and Motherhood (Part 1)

Perfect mother. That’s what all women want to be.  And we are sure you are one of those women, Mom. For most of us, perfect mom is the one with ability to keep the good achievement at workplace and care for the family at the same time. How to make it true?

Looking for the answer is probably like trying to find the secret recipe. But it’s actually not like that. Balancing work and motherhood can be achieved through some steps below. By making the steps as routine, you will eventually find that be a supermom is a possible thing to you, and to other moms wherever they are. Let’s start.

First, don’t mess everything up. Try to stay organized and don’t waste any time.  It will be awful when you need to deal with housework and at the same time you have to try finding where your files are, reading the mail and even finding some notes you can actually do quickly if you can be still well organized. Put the pen, paper and other things in one place, thus you can find them immediately by the time you need them.

Another important thing to balance work and motherhood is plan. Having a plan is a must. Currently, it’s not difficult to deal with such thing especially with the presence of many different paper organizers as well as tech gadgets on the market. These things will be truly helpful if you want to organize everything appropriately.

However, there are times when you have no other choice except to be flexible with the change of any plan which could probably happen. For example, it’s impossible to do few plans outside the house while there is no child-care provider accompanying your kids. Also, you need to have time to make appointment with the doctor when your kids get sick or your husband suddenly need to work late.

Keep in mind that you cannot avoid having the kids running everywhere in the house, including the area where you work (a room you use as office if any). Instead of putting your child at risk, you have to ensure that your office is kid-proof. Computer should be covered, so that with other papers. Put them aside where your kids cannot reach. It is not fun to find your papers turn into your kids’ drawing book, right?
